The biggest complaint we have encountered from speaking with clients is the difficulty they report in knowing exactly what equipment they need to hire for their specific event and who will operate it. Most AV companies and lighting suppliers across Perth advertise some great looking PA and lighting equipment on their websites, but rarely offer any insight as to how this equipment will be operated, and what equipment best suits different event types. This requirement then falls on the client to either set this equipment up themselves, or arrange an external lighting technician and or sound engineer to do it on their behalf at an extra cost.
Considering most people do not have a working knowledge of setting up and operating sound and lighting equipment, we feel it is unreasonable that this burden falls on the customer.
